Beaches The North Norfolk coast is one of England’s finest stretches of coastline. Holkham Beach — vast, wild and often described as one of the most beautiful in the country — is just a few minutes’ drive. Burnham Overy Staithe, Wells-next-the-Sea and Brancaster are all close by and each has its own character.
Things to Do Holkham Hall and its estate is a short drive away — one of England’s great stately homes with stunning parkland. Pensthorpe Natural Park is brilliant for families and wildlife lovers. Sandringham Estate is within easy reach for a day out. The North Norfolk Railway steam trains run between Sheringham and Holt and are a real treat, particularly for children. Park Farm at Snettisham is great for families with younger children.
Birdwatching North Norfolk is one of the UK’s premier birdwatching destinations. Titchwell Marsh RSPB reserve is particularly spectacular and just a short drive away.
Sailing & Water Sports Burnham Overy Staithe and Brancaster are popular with sailors. Wells harbour is great for crabbing — a classic Norfolk holiday activity for all ages.
